Our vision at Festivus of Gravel is to create a celebration of all things cycling, including exciting gravel bike races, that brings together professionals and enthusiast cyclists from all over the world. We aim to foster a community where participants can share their passion for cycling, learn from each other, and make new friends while enjoying the challenge of our gravel event.

Our riders come from diverse backgrounds, making the Festivus of Gravel a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends in the world of gravel bike races. We believe that our participants are the heart and soul of the event, and we strive to make your experience unforgettable at this premier gravel event. You do NOT need to be a part of a cycling club to ride in Festivus of Gravel.

Festivus of Gravel (we call it FoG!) is a gravel cycling event for everyone, perfect for those who love gravel bike races. You can ride any of the distances at your own pace, whether you prefer to race against friends or enjoy a challenging ride. Make the most of the rest stops, or pack everything you need for your adventure on this exciting gravel race! It's all up to you.

*"Alberta Gravel" is tough! i.e. 90km rides more like 120km on "champagne gravel", 150km more like 200km.
Festivus of Gravel starts and finishes in Leduc, Alberta and takes place on the pristine gravel roads and by-ways of Leduc & Wetaskiwin Counties, the heart of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
Edmonton International Airport is at the heart of our Start/Finish community, making it the worlds only fly-in gravel race!

Wednesday, May 20 - late registration & package pick up in Edmonton.
Saturday, May 23 - arrive to set up your campsite, check in to your hotel, do a warmup/recon ride, and late registration/package pickup at the industry expo
Sunday, May 24 - event waves for the gravel bike races:
- 8 AM: 150 km
- 9 AM: 90 km
- 10 AM: 50 km

Alex co-founded the Tour of Alberta professional stage race and initiated the Festivus of G

As a recent prostate cancer survivor, Alex also raises funds for the MAN VAN, a traveling prostate cancer screening vehicle!
As a prostate cancer survivor, Alex can't emphasize enough the importance of early detection. The Prostate Cancer Centre of Alberta is raising funds for a mobile testing unit called "The MAN VAN" to service the Northern Alberta region. Please donate here to help support this cause.
