Our vision at Festivus of Gravel is to create a celebration of all things cycling, that brings together professionals and enthusiast cyclists from all over the world.
We aim to foster a community where participants can share their passion for cycling, learn from each other, and make new friends while enjoying the challenge of our gravel event.

Our riders come from diverse backgrounds, making the Festivus of Gravel a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends in the world of gravel.
We believe that our participants are the heart and soul of the event, and we strive to make your experience unforgettable at this premier gravel event. You do NOT need to be a part of a cycling club to ride in Festivus of Gravel.

What distances are there?
Festivus of Gravel (we call it FoG!) is a gravel cycling event for everyone, perfect for those who love riding gravel. You can ride any of the distances at your own pace, whether you prefer to race against friends, fund raise or enjoy a challenging ride.
Make the most of the rest stops, or pack everything you need for your adventure on this exciting gravel event! It's all up to you.

The 2027 event routes will be the same as 2026 and are available here. We want everyone to have an opportunity to challenge themselves, which is why we are offering 4 "Alberta Gravel" curated routes*:
- Fund Raising ride - 24 km
- The Hammer - 50ish km - the challenge starts!
- The Thunder - 90ish km - most popular!!
- The Braveheart - 15

*"Alberta Gravel" is tough! i.e. 90km rides more like 120km on "champagne gravel", 150km more like 200km.

Festivus of Gravel starts and finishes in Leduc, Alberta and takes place on the pristine gravel roads and by-ways of Leduc & Wetaskiwin Counties, the heart of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
Edmonton International Airport is right next to our Start/Finish community, making it the worlds only fly-in gravel race!

Wednesday, June 2 - late registration & package pick up at TBD in Edmonton.
Saturday, June XX - arrive to set up your campsite, check in to your hotel, do a warmup/recon ride, and late registration/package pickup at the Start/Finish site.
Sunday, June XX - event waves:
- 8 AM: 150 km
- 9 AM: 90 km
- 9:15 AM - 24 km fund raising ride

- 10 AM: 50 km
- Noon to 5 PM: Finish line celebration with expo, food, drink, music, and lots of draw prizes for all participants.

Volunteers are essential partners in creating a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for riders and spectators alike, and their contributions help ensure Festivus of Gravel continues to grow as a signature cycling event for the region.
Ride with a Purpose
As a prostate cancer survivor, Alex can't emphasize enough the importance of early detection. The Prostate Cancer Centre of Alberta is raising funds for a mobile testing unit called "The MAN VAN" to service the Northern Alberta region. Please donate here to help support this cause.
